A brief History of Digital Printing and Digital Offset Printing

With the advent of Digital Printing, this question was raised again but with a completely new domain.

However, Digital Printing ( not Digital Offset Printing ), had it’s own issues. They were cheap for short run printing but lacked the quality of Offset Printing. The Reason? Digital Printing was, in essence, a completely different process that Offset Printing. It involved color particles (not inks) in toners. Basically, they were enlarged color laser printers.

Then came Digital Offset Printing. This technique mimicked the offset printing process. That is, real ink, real plates and everything else. Digital Offset Printing is also the technique used at Chanakya Mudrak Pvt Ltd. This enables us to deliver products  as if printed using offset printing equipment. However, being superior technology it is marginally expensive than Digital Printing.

The difference in cost is however easily justified by a single look at the difference in quality. You need not even pay attention to differentiate between a Digital Print and a Digital Offset Print. The difference is apparent in appearance, touch and durability. Also, you can print on any paper that you wish for.
